Organizing Chairman

Dear Doctors,

It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital along with Delhi Liver Foundation is organizing a very innovative and comprehensive “Basic and Advanced Therapeutic Procedure Training Program” on 7th and 8th Dec 2013 in 2nd Floor, Seminar Room, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

Over the last two decades, there have been tremendous advances in the field of Endoscopy not only for early diagnosis but also for timely and appropriate management of various gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. It is high time that practising gastroenterologist is well versed with these recent advances, so as to offer the best available state of the art treatment modalities to their deserving patients.

This program will exactly provide us such a (and much needed !) interactive platform, where we can discuss these advances, and their role in our day to day management of the common hepatobilairy and GI illnesses irrespective of the level of practise from primary to a tertiary care gastroenterology centre.

In an effort to ensure better communication and one to one interaction, we have decided to have a limited number of delegates so that they can maximally benefit from the proposed training program.

Highlight of the program will be lectures on basics of CBD and PD cannulation, difficult ERCPs, basics of diagnostic and therapeutic, endosonography, spyglass cholangioscopy, laser lithotripsy, capsule endoscopy, double balloon enteroscopy, esophageal and ano-rectal manometry, 24 hour esophageal pH monitoring, fibroscan, and breath test  followed by live demonstration of various procedures.

The basic aim of the conference is to help you set up most of these diagnostic and therapeutic modalities at your centres in different part of the India, after your active participation in this live and interactive training program.

We promise you a lively stay and academic bonanza during your stay with us.

Please confirm your participation at the earliest.

Your stay and travel will be taken care of by the organizing committee.

Sincere Regards
